Butchers of the world, rejoice: Lady Gaga’s meat dress has been deemed the top fashion statement of 2010.

Gaga wore the extra-rare creation – accessorised with boots and a meat chapeau – to the MTV Video Music Awards in September.

Time Magazine gave the dress first place in its Top 10 Fashion Statements feature. Other eye-catching ensembles that made the list include MIA’s graphic-print burqa, Venus Williams’ lingerie-inspired tennis garb and Taylor Momsen in general, for every dog collar/slave necklace/pair of pole dancer heels she’s donned in the past year.

And if you’re concerned Gaga might start to relax in 2011, consider: at her O2 Arena show last night, she bit off Santa’s head. Gaga then stomped on the doll, thrown onstage by a fan, and screamed, “I hate the holidays!”

Oh, Gaga… we always knew you were more than a piece of meat.
