How do you get stains out of a white lacquer table?
Start by applying a diluted consistency (acetone/bleach + water) with a damp cloth, and if you can see no damage or negative effects, try decreasing the dilution until you see a good, stain-removing result. Be specific with the application of acetone as it is strong stuff!
How do you get stains out of lacquer?
Scrape to remove any excess lacquer immediately. Flush acetone through the stain to an absorbent pad underneath. When no more stain is being removed, change pads and flush well with a dry-cleaning solvent such as Afta Cleaning Fluid. Allow to dry thoroughly.
How do you care for lacquered furniture?
Lacquered wood can be wiped down with a damp cloth if it gets dirty but it is advisably to dry off the wood after. It can be dusted with a soft cloth and polished with an everyday spray polish. Can you use pledge on lacquer?
For a quick clean, I just use Pledge. NEVER WINDEX! The ammonia in Windex can cause lacquer finishes on any type to break down, cloud, and turn brittle. It’s also important you use 100% cotton cloths, the softer the better.
What’s the best way to remove old lacquer from furniture?
Lightly sand the piece all over with a fine-grit sandpaper. This type of sandpaper will leave the furniture with a nice smooth finish that will make re-finishing easier later. If you still have some traces of the old lacquer, the sanding process will also remove these. Clear away any sanding residue with a clean paintbrush or a clean rag.

How do you apply lacquer to a wood table?
Wipe the natural wood table with a tack cloth to remove any dust particles. Dip a wide natural or synthetic paint brush into the lacquer to saturate it thoroughly. Run the brush along the inside edge of the container to remove excess lacquer. Apply the lacquer to the wood table using long, continuous strokes going in one direction.
