Unfortunately, both Amos and the bard were among the casualties, causing deep regret for Barbatos. After Decarabian’s demise, Barbatos claimed a divine seat in Celestia, becoming the first — and only — Anemo Archon among The Seven.

He’s one of the few Archons that have lived since the Archon War. Morax – Like Barbatos, Morax also survived the millennia following the Archon War and has since continued to rule over Liyue as the Geo Archon.

There is a great variety of different Gnostic belief systems regarding the Archons, but in most Gnostic texts, the Archons are depicted as being evil or malevolent and they are associated with the corrupted material world.

We, the players, the Traveler, know that there are only two of the original Seven that are alive and well: Barbatos and Morax. But that’s probably not what people on Teyvat would think, especially after what happened in the Archon Quest.

A characteristic feature of the Gnostic concept of the universe is the role played in almost all Gnostic systems by the seven world-creating archons, known as the Hebdomad.

Conclusion. As the Archon War drew to a close 2,000 years ago, only the Seven remained, giving Teyvat the seven nations we know of today. Only Barbatos and Morax remain from the original victors of the Archon War, while the other five nations’ Archons have been replaced over the past 2,000 years.

Can Archons feel pain? Whenever someone inflicts direct physical pain on the Archon’s host, the opponent experiences the exact same pain. Although no physical damage is done, the opponent merely thinks that he or she is in pain.
